Pepsi’s new designs for cans

Just read on a dutch blog about Pepsi’s new cans. With these new designs(35) they try to attract the youth and hope that they will choose Pepsi over Coca Cola. Designs are for example about music, cars, and sport. People can also create(yeah yeah) their own design..

Please stop squeezing the marketing system! Optimizing the attention game is just so uninteresting. Change the game!!

I really start to hate this kind of marketing… I really start to be ashamed for being associated with marketing. How do these new cans contribute to anything? How does it make the product better? What additional value is offered. This is just about value extraction. How serious are you about your consumers? Just more share of stomach?

Please Pepsi challenge challenge challenge!!!! Happy to help…

P.S. Sometimes it just all comes out at once.. Hope you are not startled by my emotional outburst..

    Is this TRUE?

Don’t buy Pepsi in the new can. Pepsi has a new “patriotic” can
coming out with pictures of the Empire State Building, and the
    Pledge of Allegiance on them.
However, Pepsi left out two little words on the pledge,
    “Under God.”
Pepsi said they didn’t want to offend anyone.
    In that case, we don’t
want to offend anyone at the Pepsi corporate office, either!
So if we don’t buy any Pepsi product, they will not be offended
when they don’t receive our money that has the words
“In God We Trust” on it.

    Vega –

Quit the bitching. Any Large Scale Public-Product distributing company wouldn’t include “under god” on their product due to two things. One, not every one believes in god and if they do, it’s possible that maybe they dont want to see “god” on something as insignificant as a can of pepsi. Two, Pepsi is only covering their ass with all the religious and public belief lawsuits happening now adays. If a school district can be sued for displaying the pledge of allegiance with “under god” on the bulletin board in their main hallway, then Pepsi Co. can be sued for mass producing and dispensing a can of soda.

also, it’s only a matter of time before “in god we trust” comes off American currency of government documentation.
